TERT - Limited X-Ray Technician

• Complete and satisfy score requirements on the Entrance Assessment administered by the Testing Center.

• Must have graduated from high school or passed the General Educational Development Test (GED).

• Hold a current, active certification or license in one of the following roles:

  • Medical Assistant

  • Advanced Emergency Medical Technician

  • Licensed Practical Nurse

  • Registered Nurse

The credential must remain active from registration through completion of all Limited X-Ray Technician coursework and clinical requirements. Only the certifications and licenses listed above are accepted.

Medical Assistants (MAs) must hold an active national certification earned by passing a national certification exam. Completing a training program, working as a Medical Assistant, or providing an MA program completion diploma does not meet this requirement without an active national certification.

Additional Requirements

The following items are not required for registration; however, these items will be collected during the program:

• Current BLS or ACLS certification

• Immunization records. See the Immunization Requirements document for more information. 

• Background check

• Drug screen

Students are strongly encouraged to complete applicable immunizations before the program begins. Immunization requirements vary by clinical site, and students must meet all requirements of their selected site before beginning clinicals. Exemptions are subject to the clinical site’s policy and may not be accepted.
