Description
The clinical course in which the student will observe and perform specific healthcare procedures in direct contact with a patient that may include personal care, patient bathing, bathroom assistance, or other types of contact with the body. This is completed under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse.
Upon course completion, students will be able to:
• Demonstrate the critical criteria (recognizing and reporting, communication, infection control, safety, and resident’s rights) as applied in the care setting.
• Perform nursing assistant skills in a healthcare setting.
