Description
This course will explore the basic anatomy, skin and nail structure and growth, and recognize and prevent infections. You will study the fundamentals of manicures, pedicures, nail tips and wrap application, acrylic(s), gel(s), polish, and their applications.
Upon course completion, students will be able to:
• Demonstrate safe practices related to infection control, chemical products, and electrical equipment.
• Discuss the history of nail technology.
• Demonstrate sanitation procedures.
• Explain the importance of anatomy and physiology, skin and nail growth and structure, and nail diseases and disorders.
• Demonstrate natural nail care, including manicures and pedicures.
• Perform proper techniques and application of nail enhancements.
